Ung Thi Cole

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ung Thi Cole, of Oviedo, Florida who left us peacefully on Tuesday November 26, in the comfort of her home. 

Ung was born and raised in Vietnam where she also met and married the love of her life, Delynn (Butch) Cole. Together they shared over 40 years of adventures living abroad and traveling around the world. Their life together was filled with love, laughter and unwavering support. To Ung, family came first. She fled her homeland during war times with her husband and two small children not knowing if she could ever return. She raised her family in foreign countries learning new cultures all on her own. Ung made a home everywhere she lived. She would often be found in the kitchen cooking amazing vietnamese food. Every holiday would include both american and vietnamese dishes. Her home was always welcoming and with plenty to share. Ung was a family puzzle piece connecting her family across the United States, France and Vietnam. She was a constant source of inspiration helping to comfort others. Ung will be remembered by all her friends for her beautiful smile and her loving fun laugh.

Ung is preceded in death by her devoted husband Butch, both her parents and her siblings. 

She is survived by her youngest son, Xuan Roy Cole, daughter, Linh Tacker and oldest son, Tri Cole. She cherished her role as “grandma” to her grandchildren Chrystal Tacker, Julia Cole and Andrew Cole. Ung was also lovingly known as “Aunty” by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Public viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday December 14, 2024 from 1pm - 3pm with a Prayer Service beginning at 3pm. Visitation and reflections will resume from 4 - 5pm. All events will he held at Newcomer Funeral Home (Orlando Chapel) 895 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida 32822.

Ung will be remembered by her family & friends for her beautiful smile and her loving fun laugh.
