It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Ochelli, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on January 4, 2026, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Born on July 13, 1947, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Victor captivated the hearts of those around him throughout his vibrant life.

Victor dedicated approximately 15 years of his professional life to the newspaper industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and the joy he brought to his colleagues. His personality was characterized by an infectious sense of humor; he was well-liked by everyone and cherished for his warmth and kindness. Victor had a unique gift for connecting with people, always taking the time to show others how to do things, embodying the spirit of mentorship in both his personal and professional relationships.

Outside of work, Victor enjoyed a rich tapestry of hobbies and interests. He loved embarking on cruises with his wife Kathy and friends, reveling in the joy of adventure and the beauty of the open sea. His passion for cars and motorcycles showcased his mechanical skill and adventurous spirit. Victor's heart belonged not only to his family but also to his dog Sammy and the German Shepherds he adored. He delighted in traveling to the Florida Keys, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and happiness.

Victor is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Ochelli (Semak); his daughter, April Jean Ochelli, and son-in-law, Chris Lindsay; as well as his precious grandchildren, Courtney, Allison, and Sam. He is also survived by his brother George (Amy) DiCataldo, along with many beloved nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Ochelli Jr.; mother, Clara DiCataldo; step-father, Charles DiCataldo; son, Victor John Ochelli IIII; and siblings, Diane, Maryann, and Frankie.

Victor Ochelli will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. A visitation will be held on January 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole, located at 335 E State Rd 434, Longwood, FL 32750. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. He will then be laid to rest at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, 1825 W 25th Street, Sanford, FL 32771, where a burial ceremony will commence at 1:30 PM.

In celebrating Victor's life, we remember a man who laughed brightly, worked hard, and loved deeply. His spirit of generosity and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew him.
