Young Nam May, also known as “Oh Maria” to many, age 77, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Cornerstone Hospice House.
She was born on May 5, 1948 in Seoul, South Korea, daughter to her late parents, Sonya E. And Buk Oh. On March 11, 1982, she was married to her husband, Thomas Lee May, who preceded her in death on September 30, 2019 after 37 years of marriage together.
Young is survived by her children, daughter, Sonya Silva and her husband, Michael; three sons, Sean Johnson and Meredith, Scott Johnson, and Robert May and his wife, Amanda; ten grandchildren, Kayla Zilinski, Emily Crespo, Jacob Silva, Anna Silva, Charles Johnson, Audrey Johnson, Jack Johnson, Ava Johnson, Ellie May, and Thomas R. May; four great-grandchildren, Raegen Zilinski, Levi Zilinski, Luka Crespo, and Oliver Silva; and a sister-in-law, Linda Ganshert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas Lee May; and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Ignatius Kim Catholic Mission, 1518 E. Muriel St, Orlando, FL 32806.
Visitation will precede the Mass on Saturday, November 29 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church.
Intermentwill be on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 10:30 am at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525US-1, Mims, Florida 32754.
