Yris C. Matias

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Yris C. Matias, who was born on October 1, 1944, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and passed away on November 2, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.

Yris’s life journey carried her from Santo Domingo to Orlando, where she spent her final days in the comfort of those she loved most. She will be remembered with deep love and gratitude by her family, whose presence at her side reflected the care and devotion she inspired throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Vasquez Mazara, and her mother, Violeta Montilla.

Yris leaves behind her beloved sons, Richard and Huascar, and her beloved daughter, Johanna. They carry forward her memory with love, and will continue to hold close the bond they shared with her.
