Alan “Al” Aldrich, 77, of Orlando, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 31, 2017.

Alan was born April 22, 1940 in Providence, Rhode Island to Lyman Mayo and Cora Mayo Aldrich. He graduated from Boone High School and Rollins College. He and Gaylia were married on February 11, 1989. Alan was retired after having served in the United States Army and having careers with the Orlando Police Department, Alan Aldrich Investigation, First Baptist Church Orlando and Adventist University of Health Sciences. He was an avid football fan, and especially followed the Florida State Seminoles (go ‘Noles).

Alan is survived by his children Rob Aldrich and his wife Jody of Jacksonville, FL, Rick Aldrich of Eustis, FL, Carla Aldrich of Jacksonville, FL and stepdaughters Marta Strawser and her husband James of Chuluota, FL and Lisa Walsh and her husband John of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren Courtney, Cody, and Connor Aldrich and Ashley Strawser.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 12th at Downtown Baptist Church, 120 E. Pine Street, Orlando, Florida 32801. Pastor Jim Henry will be officiating. Free parking is available in the parking garage, 115 E. Church Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Downtown Baptist Church Prayer Room or the American Heart Association.
