John R. (Jack) Shimp, 85, of Titusville, FL, went peacefully to be with our Lord, May 10, 2019.
He was born November 25, 1933 In Derwent, OH to William & Gaynell Shimp. He grew up in Elmore, OH with 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Jack was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He worked as an Ohio State Highway Patrolman, Perkins Township Police Chief in Sandusky, OH, and General Supervisor at Scandura in Port Clinton, OH.

Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Diane Shimp (Miller). 4 daughters; Linda (Chuck) Frank, Titusville, FL. Cindy (Robert Bennett) Bullion, Morrison, CO. Kelly (Rick) Randolph, Sandusky, OH. Sandy (Ed) Syfrett, Cocoa, FL. And 1 son; John (Brenda) Shimp, Sandusky, OH.Jack is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers William & Robert Shimp and 1 sister Judy Henricks.

A private ceremony will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL.
