In Memory Of
Rollin Lee "Ron" Peek, Jr
1937 - 2019

Rollin Lee (Ron) Peek Jr., 82 of Port St John, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather entered heaven on Friday, June 7, 2019; surrounded by his loving wife, daughter, and son-in-law at Rockledge Regional Medical Center.
Born April 19, 1937 in Daytona Beach, FL to Rollin L. and Elizabeth G. Peek (Cleveland), he was the youngest of two boys. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria, his two daughters, two sons, her two sons, his brother and family, and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ron is predeceased by his wife Mary in 2013.
Ron met Gloria in February 2015, and it was love at first sight. They both found true love after losing a spouse and were then married in Georgia on January 7, 2016. Ron and Gloria then settled in Port St John.
Ron’s early career began in the U.S. Air Force, where he was stationed in Taiwan; Texas; and then later Orlando AFB. When his career in the military ended, he and his family moved to Titusville where his aerospace career began in the late 1960s. Ron worked for many NASA contractors and made many friendships that continue to this day.
Ron’s special interest was in reenacting, both Civil War and Second Seminole War. This close-knit group (CSA) rallied around Ron when he lost Mary, and then around he and Gloria when his illness kept him from attending meetings. Our family would like to thank each of them for their love and support and hospital visits over the last two months.
Newcomer Cremation and Funeral Service is overseeing arrangements. There will be a Celebration of Life held at Gateway Community Church, 2801 Tropic St., Titusville, FL 32796 on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM, with a meal/reception to follow at the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests check or money order donations be made to the reenactment group for battlefield preservation in Ron’s honor at: Indian River Camp 47, CSA, 4250 Alafaya Trail, Suite 212-320, Oviedo, FL 32765. Please make check or money orders payable to Indian River Camp 47, CSA.
