James Thomas Beasley, age 71, of Longwood, FL passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at South Seminole Hospital in Longwood.

Tom was born on June 25, 1950 in Dallas, TX, son of the late George and Alice Anne (Davis) Beasley. He worked as a computer analyst in information technology, but he wore many hats outside of the office. Tom was a talented artist, an enthusiastic do-it-yourselfer, an extreme gardener, and an avid reader who enjoyed reading things for the pure joy of obtaining the knowledge books would give him. He was a devoted husband and friend to his wife, Zulima; and a loving father and grandfather.

Tom is survived by his wife of 30 years, Zulima Sosa of Longwood, FL; his son, James Davis Beasley and his wife, Danielle, of Beach Park, IL; his two daughters, Julie Jones and her husband, Andy, of Lompoc, CA, and Annie Beasley of Deltona, FL; two step-sons, Billy Litsey and his wife, Amy, of Winter Springs, FL, and Michael Litsey and his wife, Katie, of Redondo Beach, CA; seven grandchildren, Aidan and Asher Jones, and William, Michael, Savanna, Zulima, and Sonora Litsey; and his brother, Dr. Robert Beasley and his wife, Lynette, of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Carol Anne Hutchison.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, FL with Chaplain Mike Caroline officiating. Visitation with the family will precede the service on Saturday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at a later date in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, TX.
