In Memory Of
Dorothy Como
1927 - 2022

Dorothy Como, age 94, of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2022. She was born in Queens, New York on October 31, 1927, to Anthony and Bertha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Como, her daughter Linda Como, and her son Joseph Como. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne McCully (James), and grandson, Brad Piersall.

Dorothy leaves behind a lasting impact on countless individuals and always put others before herself. She was always concerned for others, asking how her friends and family were, even when she had not spoken to some for some time. She had a loving heart and loved being around others. She enjoyed watching sports with her family and looked forward to each game.

Dorothy had the New Yorker spirit and was a fighter until the end. Those closest to her had several nicknames for her, including Ginger, Ginge, Dotty, and Nanny. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, which was coincidentally her birthday. She loved saying she was “spooky” because of that fact, but she had a warm, loving heart and enjoyed giving candy to trick-or-treaters and seeing all of their costumes.

She loved her family and friends with everything in her.

She will be sorely missed by many but lives on through her friends and families' memory and the profound love of others she instilled.
